Energy efficiency

A lamp's efficiency is calculated on the basis of the light output in relation to the power used. The above overview outlines the efficiency of the different lamps available. The higher the figure, the more efficient the lamp. The chart shows the luminous flux in lumens (lm) compared to the power consumption in watts (W); in other words, how much light energy is created by 1 watt of electric energy.
